Several new songs have been added to the selection for the upcoming CD.  Possibly some of the best music to come out of the Kamera camp.

After a hiatus from music, Drummer Terry Holder has re-joined the band. Terry played on Kamera's original 4 song demo and "Chasing Shadows" which is featured on "Melodic Rock Is Back... Vol. 3".  Terry brings his own style of thunderous rhythm and excitement to the band.  Time away from the drums has not impeded Terry at all, he's come back with a vengeance.

Several personal and professional setbacks have put the CD project in a holding pattern.  The band seems to be overcoming the setbacks and the release of the CD will be delayed but the project is still the main focus of Kamera.

Between rehearsals and implementing new gear, final mixes of the songs to be released on our debut CD are being done. Several songs are ready to be mastered and the remaining songs are scheduled to be done very soon. We visited with Dan Stout of Colossal Mastering in Chicago (Columbia Records, D.U.I./Christina Aguilera) and reviewed a couple songs with him for pre-mastering guidelines and feedback. Dan is very knowledgeable and we look forward to working with him to complete this project.

Again we're very excited to announce that we've just signed another contract with Munich's Hardest Hits OHG out of München, Germany, to be on a compilation-CD called "Melodic Rock Is Back... Vol. 4". The CD is scheduled to be released in October, 2003. The song they've chosen from the original demo we sent them is "When We Said Hello". We're very excited to announce that we've just signed a contract with Munich's Hardest Hits OHG out of München, Germany, to be on a compilation-CD called "Melodic Rock Is Back... Vol. 3". The CD is scheduled to be released at the end of April, 2003. The song they've chosen from the demo we sent them is "Chasing Shadows". On another note... we had a show scheduled with "Enuff Z'Nuff", but apparently they are having some issues and canceled the show.

Many things has been going on in Kamera's world lately. We just finished a show with Great White at Sean Kaley's in Lemont IL. The show was awesome! We've been contacted by a record company in Germany who wants to put one of our songs on a compilation CD of AOR music. (popular term in Europe for Adult Oriented Rock) Still communicating with several European record companies waiting for our debut CD release.

We've had a lot of inquiries about the status of Kamera since Vince's emergency back surgery. The good news is Vince is recovering great from surgery and we were able to rehearse and do some vocal recording for "Blind Secrets". We just need to record vocals for "Chance" and "Me Myself and I", do final mixes, and have the CD mastered. Trust me, it will be worth the wait... Thanks to all in the Kamera following for there concern and thoughts as we (especially Vince) go through this transition.

I'm afraid I have some bad news. Kamera's lead guitarist, Vince Michaels, recently had to have emergency back surgery. At this time we don't know what the future holds. Let's all hope and pray for positive surgery results and a quick recovery for Vince.

Well, we've decided to add three more kick ass songs to our debut CD. We realize this will set back our release date, but the songs are so awesome that we had to add them to the CD. We want this CD to truly represent what Kamera is made of and have a variety of songs on it to appeal to fans of all ages. This CD will demonstrate our wide range of musical interest and writing ability.
